FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
Sysa is our only rosé; for years, we have chosen Syrah and Sangiovese grapes as a base for this wine, but in vintage 2021 we added a bit of Merlot.
Our main effort is to bring into the cellar red grapes that have a ripe flavor but not an excessive gradation; the difficulties multiply when collecting liquid a few hours after the grapes have been destemmed and placed in the tank. It is very important for the future evaluation of the product. The floral and fruity flavors and a pleasant freshness make our rosé easy to pair with white meats and seafood, great for aperitifs and for combinations with fruit desserts.
Manual harvesting of the grapes, short maceration (10 min) in concrete, linear extraction, ferments in steel tanks where it remains with the fine lees for about a month. 50% of the product is aged in second passage French barriques for 60/70 days. Finally it rests in the bottle for 3 months.
Soft pink color, intense and rich, with fragrant notes of grapefruit, blonde orange and berries with floral hints of rose. In the mouth, it is slightly tangy, balanced, long ending with a fruity return.
